Watermelon Hwachae

Try this milky Korean fruit punch with watermelon and lots of other fruits!

Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 1.3 lbs Watermelon 600g
  • 0.2 lbs Strawberries 100g, about 3-4 strawberries
  • 0.2 lbs Green Grapes (Shine Muscat) 100g
  • 0.25 lbs Pineapple 120g, canned or fresh
  • 0.25 lbs Green Kiwis 100g, one medium kiwi
  • 0.16 lbs Orange 75g, a quarter of an orange. Optional
Juice
  • 2 cup Oat milk Can be substituted with any milk of your choice
  • 1 cup Sprite
  • 1/4 cup Powder sugar
  • 1 cup Ice cubes Optional

Method
 

  1. Prepare all the fruits. Wash them thoroughly.
  2. Peel the pineapples, oranges, and Kiwis.
  3. Cut all the fruits into bite-sized pieces. I like to cut the strawberries and grapes in half.
  4. Bring a big bowl and add all the fruit pieces.
  5. In a separate small bowl, pour the milk and mix in the powdered sugar. Mix well so the sugar is dissolved. Pour the sweetened milk into the fruit bowl. Pour the Sprite over the fruit bowl as well.
  6. Close the lid and bring the bowl into the fridge. Store it for 2-4 hours until cool.
  7. Optionally, you can add ice cubes to the bowl. Mix the fruits gently so they are well combined. You will see that the liquid has turned a light pink color and tastes sweet and fruity.
  8. Serve cold. Enjoy!
