Hello, everyone! How is it going? I am doing great; I’m here with a new post about blueberries—the blueberry milkshake recipe! This week has been a blueberry theme, starting from a blueberry cheong to a blueberry latte and blueberry soju that you can make with a blueberry cheong. Then, came a blueberry lemon ice cream that you could have with a blueberry cheong as a topping.
Today, I wanted to share a blueberry milkshake recipe with you all. There are two ways to make this delicious blueberry milkshake recipe. The one I’m going to share with you today is the classic blueberry milkshake recipe, using vanilla ice cream as the base and making a blueberry cheong. If you are a true blueberry lover, the other recipe might be your choice; it is to mix milk with blueberry lemon ice cream! I will share both recipes below.
Are you ready? Let’s go!
Introduction to Blueberry Milkshake Recipe
A homemade blueberry milkshake is incredibly refreshing and amazing! This blueberry milkshake is so creamy and sweet to be a drink, yet so refreshing and light that it can also be considered a dessert.
A blueberry milkshake is a little more exciting menu that you don’t get to find in every restaurant, but it can be so easily made with a few ingredients at home.
Let’s start with the main ingredient lists for the blueberry milkshake!
Main Ingredients for Blueberry Milkshake
1. Vanilla Ice Cream
The first ingredient is, of course, the vanilla ice cream. You can buy vanilla ice cream to follow this recipe, but I also have a recipe for a light, delicious, creamy vanilla ice cream that you can easily make vegan!

2. Blueberry Cheong (Raw Blueberry Syrup)
The second main ingredient for the blueberry milkshake is the blueberry syrup. You can make this raw blueberry syrup in a Korean way called a blueberry cheong. It is not as difficult as it sounds, trust me! We will make a quick version of the blueberry syrup for the milkshake recipe. But if you are interested in learning about the blueberry cheong, you can read my article below.

3. Milk
Last but not least, there is milk in the milkshake! Surprise!
You can choose any milk of your choice, but my favorite is the oat milk. It has the natural sweetness without giving me a stomachache. The other great option is to use almond milk.
Optional Additions for Blueberry Milkshake
1. Whipped Cream

For decoration and more cream on top, try vegan whipped cream on top of the blueberry milkshake!
I used to love cream, but I would always have stomach aches after having lots of it. But with plant-based cream like this, it’s so amazing! It tastes fluffy, fresh, and smooth. Make your own whipping cream with this product.
2. Add Blueberry Extract

This is a really cool product that has blueberry flavors and is very popular among bakers. So if you like, add 1/4 teaspoon of this blueberry flavoring to the blueberry milkshake recipe for a more intense blueberry flavor.
Health Benefits of Blueberries
Why am I so obsessed with blueberries these days? Well, we have all heard of blueberries as “superfoods.” I can’t believe these berries are not only delicious but also offer many health benefits to us.
So what kind of health benefits do blueberries have? Let’s find out!
- Anti-Aging & Anti-Cancer: Blueberries have one of the highest antioxidant levels of all common fruits and vegetables. This incredible amount of antioxidants in blueberries keeps us young and helps protect us from DNA damage and cancer development.
- Brain Health: Berries were known to improve brain functions. There has been a 6-year study of over 16,000 people who found links between berry consumption and delaying cognitive decline by up to 2.5 years!
- Muscle Recovery: A small study has found that eating blueberries may have played a role in faster muscle recovery.

This blueberry milkshake can be made with my vanilla ice cream or your favorite vanilla ice cream!
