Hello, my wonderful people! I hope you are having a great day. I’m writing this blog post when it’s a beautiful autumn at the moment, and I assume you are reading this in the fall, too. Sipping on a warm beverage is one of my favorite things to do in the fall. There’s something so special about filling your belly with warm, comforting tea like this chai latte with pumpkin spice. You might have tried the Pumpkin Chai Latte at Starbucks and could not forget the taste—well, you are at the right place! I’m going to share the recipe for a pumpkin chai latte you can easily make at home.
Then let’s get started!
Introduction to Chai Latte with Pumpkin Spice
Before we get into the chai latte recipe with pumpkin spice, let’s briefly go over the chai latte and the pumpkin spice. These combinations are a match made in heaven for us to enjoy in the fall.
☕ About Chai Latte
A chai latte is a popular drink that is a combination of Indian masala chai and frothed milk. Indian masala chai is a black tea brewed with many spices; my favorites include cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and ginger. You can also add star anise, black peppercorns, fennel, and even mint leaves. It is often sweetened with sugar or honey. You can use any sweeteners you like, such as maple syrup or agave syrup. I like to use my allulose syrup to sweeten my chai lattes!
In this recipe, we will use the pumpkin spice to spice up our black tea to make the chai.

Pumpkin spice and masala chai use many similar spices, so you can absolutely make a chai latte using only pumpkin spice and black tea!
🍂 About Pumpkin Spice
Pumpkin spice is a blend of spices loved in the fall and the holiday season for its warm, fragrant scent and flavor. The name “pumpkin spice” is often used for pumpkin-based dishes to enhance the pumpkin flavor. So it is for pumpkin but does not contain pumpkin in the spice. Here are some of the typical ingredients for the pumpkin spice.
- Cinnamon: The base of the pumpkin spice
- Nutmeg: Sweet, earthy, and nutty, this spice makes the pumpkin spice special.
- Cloves: A strong spice that is packed with unique flavors and antioxidants
- Ginger: Adding fresh taste
- Allspice: Optional, but highly recommended! Its peppery scent is so unique.
🍁 Chai Latte + Pumpkin Spice = Fragrant Heaven
So what would happen if you combine the infusion of beautiful black tea, pumpkin spice, and an optional blend of other fall spices? A fragrant, heavenly, wonderful drink that is perfect for the fall and the holiday season!
Then let’s talk about the hot and the iced versions of this pumpkin chai latte.

This chai latte with pumpkin spice can be enjoyed hot and cold like any other latte. The chai base is the same; however, we will use different toppings to make the chai latte in the recipe. Here are the differences between the two versions.

Chai Tea Recommendation
When it comes to making chai latte, using good black tea can make a real difference in your final result. As this chai latte with pumpkin spice has lots of other ingredients, including spices to create flavors, your pumpkin chai latte will taste great regardless. But if you want to make a perfect cup of Chai lattes, making a good Chai is important, which is something you make with black tea.
My favorite selections of black tea leaves are these.
- Darjeeling: Light, floral, and fruity. This type is a popular choice for someone who wants lighter spice and flavors.
- Assam: Bold and strong, this is great for those of you who enjoy strong tea and want a kick of spice flavors. This is my personal favorite!
- Ceylon: This has a citrusy flavor, which I find goes very well if you are to make the iced chai latte.
But, of course, you can use Earl Grey or English Breakfast tea bags that you can easily find at stores. They make an easy, no-sweat way to make a good chai for the chai latte with pumpkin spice!
Dairy-Free Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte
Did you know you can make an amazing chai latte with pumpkin spice, even better than regular cow milk? Here are some of my favorite plant-based milk choices for the dairy-free and vegan chai latte with pumpkin spice.
- Soymilk: Packed with plant protein and softens the chai latte to a great degree.
- Oatmilk: My personal favorite, for its light sweetness and mild flavors.
- Almond milk: Almond milk has the closest taste to regular cow milk but is packed with vitamin E, which is great for the skin.
- Coconut milk: It gives me a tropical touch to the chai latte and makes the creamiest chai latte.
My Syrup Choice to Sweeten Chai Latte

We all know regular syrup can be high in sugar, and I try to avoid it as much as I can. So this is the syrup I will be using.
My Normal Keto Allulose 17.1 Fl Oz
This syrup is a plant-based syrup that has much fiber with less simple carbohydrate content, which makes it a healthier alternative to regular syrup or sugar. Allulose is a natural sweetener from plants, and it is very much used in Korean kitchens and sweetens the dish without adding other flavors.
