Hello, my lovely readers! Today, I want to share the cherry latte recipe, which you can make with cherry syrup and cherries. I love the hot pink color of the cherry juice, and it is so beautiful to see the hot pink cherry juice turning into a light pink color when it is mixed with milk. If the look of the cherry latte alone didn’t persuade you enough to try it, let me tell you about the taste. The sweet, tangy taste of cherries and soft, lovely milk creates a wonderful harmony. Top it off with cream; this cherry latte can be a great dessert if you like.
Let me tell you a little about the cherry latte now, then.
Introduction to Cherry Latte
Welcome to the world of sweet and tart cherries! Among many recipes you can make with cherries, this cherry latte is easy to make and can be enjoyed as a drink or a dessert.
Korean Latte Menu
This cherry latte has been served in Korea, and I can’t wait to share this recipe with you. Many modern Korean fruit lattes are made from fruit cheong (Korean fruit preservatives) mixed with milk, such as strawberry latte and blueberry latte. I have more Korean latte menus later in this blog, so check it out if you are interested! 💗
Then let’s get into the main ingredients for the cherry latte recipe.
Main Ingredients for Cherry Latte
1. Cherry Cheong
First and foremost, a cherry cheong is needed to make the cherry latte! Cheong is a Korean preservative method that uses raw fruits and sugar to capture the flavors and nutrients. Don’t worry, it’s simple to make!
In this recipe, we will make a quick version of cherry cheong to make this delicious cherry latte. If you are interested in making raw homemade cherry syrup, you can check out my blog post below.

2. Plant Milk
The second most important ingredient for the cherry latte recipe is, you guessed it right, the milk! You could use any milk you like for this recipe, but I love using plant milk. Among many kinds of plant milk for the recipe, my favorite is oat milk. The soft taste of oat milk goes so well with tart cherries and sweet vanilla.
Cherry Season
You don’t have to make the cherry latte using fresh cherries, but you should make a cherry latte with fresh cherries when it’s cherry season! When cherries are in season, they are even more flavorful and nutritious.
Cherries are in season from late spring to early summer. Cherries are available from May to August in most parts of the world, including Norway, where I live. 🍒 🇳🇴
So what kind of health benefits do we get from eating cherries?
Health Benefits of Cherries
1. Helps with Exercise Recovery
Black cherry juice and concentrate were found to help with muscle recovery, decrease muscle pain from exercise, and prevent strength loss. It’s a perfect after-workout food ingredient!
2. Kidney Health
Black cherry was found to cleanse uric acid crystals from the joints, and it also reduced blood levels of uric acid, resulting in kidney health.
3. May Help with Sleep Quality
This was so interesting to me. Did you know that cherries contain melatonin, which is a substance that helps regulate our sleep and wake cycles? A study found that people who regularly drank tart cherry juice concentrate had a noticeable increase in melatonin levels, sleep duration, and sleep quality!
