Hello, my beautiful readers! If there is one dessert I have to eat for the rest of my life, I would choose anything with chocolate. (Although, I would be so sad to miss out on desserts with matcha.) Among chocolatey desserts, brownies are the classic. So here I am with another delicious brownie recipe that is easy and makes absolutely rich, gooey, melt-in-your-mouth brownies.
I already have many friends who have kids and need to make desserts or cakes for their kids to take to their schools or parties, and I think this is a great dessert recipe to have when you want to make allergy-free desserts that can satisfy most people! So keep reading this post to learn how to make this easy, gooey, real brownie.

Introduction to Easy Brownie Recipe
This easy brownie recipe needs no egg, no dairy, and no nuts, which makes it very allergy-friendly. Not only that, but it means that this brownie can be made with a few ingredients! And the ingredients in the recipe are pantry staples for many, so I hope you can just get started with baking!
Practically speaking, this brownie recipe is vegan, but I promise you this brownie doesn’t compromise on taste or texture. Somehow, “vegan recipe” doesn’t sound so tasty to many. 🤭 But this brownie recipe is gooey, rich, sweet, and just perfect!

I like my brownie gooey and juicy inside. This recipe will show you how to make gooey brownies.
Gooey Brownie vs Cakey Brownie
Let’s talk brownie texture, because texture gives very different characteristics to each brownie.
If you’re team gooey (hi, welcome!), you’re probably all about that dense, fudgy center that feels like pure chocolate magic. Gooey brownies are rich, soft, and just the right amount of underbaked. They usually skip the fluff—less flour, more fat (like adding more chocolate), and minimal leavening.
On the flip side, cakey brownies are lighter, more structured, and kind of like a brownie-meets-chocolate cake moment.
All brownies are great, but if you’re here for a melt-in-your-mouth, no-egg, no-dairy, ultra-gooey vegan brownie… you’re in the right place. This recipe keeps things chewy, rich, and ridiculously satisfying.
Why This Brownie Is Easy to Make
If you are craving real, fudgy, gooey brownies right now but don’t want to deal with fancy ingredients or a million steps, this recipe is perfect for you!
It’s as simple as it gets: just a handful of dry ingredients in your pantry, plus two wet ingredients—oil and water. That’s all! We don’t even need eggs, milk, or melted butter.
Just mix, pour, bake, and let the magic happen in the oven. Now, should we look at the ingredients?

Why This Brownie Recipe
There are already many brownie recipes on the internet, so why am I posting this recipe? Well, it’s because I find many brownie recipes have too much sugar, dairy, or eggs. They are not necessary to make delicious brownies! Rather, I think they only make the brownie unhealthy and not appetizing.
This brownie recipe is super rich and dark, perfect for all my chocolate-loving fellows! I tried to lessen the amount of sugar as much as possible while not compromising on taste. So this would be the brownie recipe that is perfect for many occasions.
Ingredients of Easy Brownie
Before we jump into baking, here is the overview of the brownie ingredients. The only “fancy” ingredient in the recipe is flaxseed powder, but you can absolutely skip this part! I added it to lightly hold the structure of the brownie better, but it is very slight.

Creative Brownie Toppings
Brownies can be as simple or as extravagant as you like! I have my brownie recipe right here, but you are more than welcome to add more toppings as you wish. Here are some of the suggestions.
Before Bake
- Salted Crunch: Add a sprinkle of sea salt or even crushed pretzels before you put the brownie batter into the oven. These give you a crunchy and salty kick to your brownie.
- Nuts: Top with chopped pecans, hazelnuts, or peanuts for extra nutty flavor.
- Nut Butter: If you are a big fan of peanut butter, you can also add some peanut butter on top of the brownie batter and make some swirls to decorate the brownies
How to Serve Brownies
Serving brownies can be as simple or as creative as you’d like, depending on your mood and the occasion. Here are some of the ideas for you to choose from.
1. Classic & Simple
Classics are classics for a reason. These methods are surely loved by everyone!
- Warm with Ice Cream: Serve warm brownies with a scoop of vanilla or caramel ice cream. The contrast of hot and cold is a match made in heaven. Drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce for extra flair, or sprinkle some peanuts or chocolate chips.
- Dust with Powdered Sugar: This is my favorite way to serve brownies. It “dresses up” the brownies into a clean, elegant look. Powdered brownies always remind me of a rock that snow has fallen on.
- Cut into Fun Shapes: Use cookie cutters to shape brownies into hearts, stars, or circles for a playful touch. This works great with kids!
2. Dessert Platter
- Brownie Bites: Cut brownies into bite-sized squares and arrange them on each plate. Add fresh berries like strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, or edible flowers for color.
- Sweets Platter: Pair brownies with complementary treats like cookies or petit fours on a dessert board.

Ingredients
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line the parchment paper in the ovenware.
- In a big bowl, add all the dry ingredients. Whisk them altogether well until combined.

- Pour in water and vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the lined ovenware. Spread the batter evenly by lightly tapping the ovenware to the floor.

- Place the batter into the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
- If the top is well-cooked, pick a toothpick into the brownie. If it comes out with a gooey texture, take it out. If the toothpick comes out as if the batter is still very wet, leave it for another 10 minutes.
- Take out the batter and cool it for at least 10 minutes. You can dust some powdered sugar on top to make it more appetizing.

- I think this brownie shines better when it is still warm and gooey inside. Enjoy!
How to Store Brownies
To Store for a Few Days
If not serving immediately, store brownies in an airtight container to keep them moist. Reheat briefly in a microwave to serve warm, gooey brownies. To have a crunchy top, you can restore it by reheating it for 5 minutes at 350°F or 175°C in the oven with the warm air mode.
To Store for Longer
If you want to store the brownies longer than a few days, please store them in the freezer. To serve again, take them out and defrost them for a few hours. You can reheat it in a microwave or in an oven with the same method as above.
