Introduction to Ninja Creami Protein Ice Cream
Ninja Creami Protein Ice Cream is an ice cream recipe you can follow using the Ninja Creami ice cream maker machine.
If you have one, great! Then you are all set to make delicious and healthy protein ice cream soon.
If you haven’t gotten a Ninja Creami ice cream machine yet, then maybe you’d like to have one!
When it comes to dessert, there’s nothing quite like the creamy, dreamy goodness of frozen treats.
And as a vegan, I so often missed having really good ice cream. It was usually harder to find vegan frozen treats at a store or at a restaurant, so it was a blessing that I could make my own ice cream at home.
My Ninja Creami Ice Cream Machine in my kitchen!
Equipment Needed: Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker
I got my Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker about a year ago, and needless to say, I use it often and love it! It makes really good ice cream in such a short period of time, but there are some cons to having it, like the pretty big noise it makes. Why make Ninja Creami Protein Ice Cream?
There are so many reasons why you should make my list of Ninja Creami Protein Ice Cream!
First of all, it’s a healthier alternative to traditional ice cream. Traditional or regular ice cream is basically fat and sugar, as the name suggests. But with Ninja Creami Protein ice cream recipes, it’s a great combination of a sweet treat and a nutritious diet.
Here are reasons why Ninja Creami Protein Ice Cream is great.
1. High Protein Content
Protein ice cream is enriched with not only ingredients that are packed with protein, but you can also add protein powders! Adding some protein powder to the ice cream is a convenient way to increase protein intake.
2. Lower Calorie Count
As I craft the protein ice cream recipes, I always have in mind to make it healthy and have little to no saturated fat. So this Ninja Creami protein ice cream has fewer calories!
3. Reduced Sugar
Another great thing about my Ninja Creami protein ice cream is that I reduced sugar in my recipes. Instead of regular sugar or syrup, opt for date sugar, date syrup, or fiber syrup that is healthier and better for you.
4. Fitness & Lifestyle Goals
I also tried to make recipes that can help you recover well from your workout! I study ingredients that are good for fitness rigorously and try to apply them to the recipes.
5. Healthy Snacking
Low or no saturated fat, sugar, and fewer calories combined make this a super healthy snacking option!
6. Variety and Convenience
Last but not least, you can choose your diet option from the comfort of your home. You can choose vegan, keto, raw-vegan, or WFPB (whole-food plant-based) diets. With the growing popularity of diet options, Ninja Creami protein ice cream is a convenient and tasty option for you to make at home.

Working out is great for your health, but eating healthy before and after is just as important!

Why After-Workout Chocolate Protein Ice Cream?
During the warmer seasons, I ate ice cream every day and therefore developed many recipes. Okay, so, among all the protein ice cream options out there, I chose the peanut butter & chocolate ice cream as my first post. And I love chocolate like my protein vegan brownie recipe.
Why? Because both peanut butter and chocolate are loved and available worldwide, and they are packed with protein!
1. Great for After-Workout
Peanuts are a great source of protein, which is crucial for muscle repair and growth after workouts.
While cocoa powder also has a lot of protein content (as I will explain more in detail below), it also has healthy carbohydrates which replenish the muscle glycogen that has been depleted during a workout. Cocoa powder also contains some caffeine, so it will lift your mood even more after a workout!
2. Super Simple
Once you learn this recipe, it’s so simple that you can probably whip it up by yourself. With only 6 simple ingredients, you will be so surprised at how delicious it is!
3. Great Nutrition
Chocolate and a banana in this recipe are a great source of magnesium, which plays a role in muscle function and reduces the risk of cramps. they both also contain antioxidants to help relieve oxidative stress produced by physical activity.
Nutrition in Chocolate Ninja Creami Protein Ice Cream
1. Peanut Butter
Protein per 100g: 26g

Peanut Butter & Co. Old Fashioned Crunchy Peanut Butter
This peanut butter is the one! Peanut butter is accused of being a bad food, but it only applies to peanut butter with added sugar and oil. Pure peanut butter with peanuts and only some added salt like this is a great source of protein and extremely filling for you.
2. Raw Cacao Powder
Protein per 100g: 20g

Navitas Organics Cacao Powder, Organic Certified, Non-GMO, Fair Trade
Cacao powder is another food that is falsely accused of being bad… It’s cocoa powder that has been highly processed, with added sugar, and some milk powder inside that is not good for you. But pure raw cacao powder is great for your body and is one of the top ingredients that has the most antioxidant content in the world! There is a study showing that cacao powder improves muscle recovery and exercise performance.
3. Vanilla Protein Powder
Protein per 1 scoop/serving: 25 g

KOS Vegan Protein Powder Erythritol Free, Vanilla USDA Organic
This vegan protein powder has plant protein and other vitamins and minerals inside. It has many other amazing organic plant ingredients to make it more nutritious, so it gets a huge thumbs up from me.
My husband used to get whey powder, made out of milk, and he would have stomachache afterward. After he changed to vegan protein powder with a vanilla taste, it is easier on his stomach and tastes much better! Vanilla protein powder is a great ingredient for many desserts, adding protein and flavor.
4. Almond Milk

Califia Farms – Unsweetened Almond Milk, 32 Oz (Pack of 6)
Almonds are one of the best sources of Vitamin E, which is an antioxidant that eats free radicals that damage cells. Therefore, it is scientifically proven that almonds help reduce wrinkles on the skin, as I covered in my blog post about natural beauty tips: top 3 best foods for the skin.
Almond milk contains way more potassium, vitamin A, vitamin E, and magnesium than regular cow milk. Get your almond milk in your system!
5. Date Syrup

ABRAHAMS & SONS Date Syrup, 100% Natural Date Syrup
We all know that sugar and syrup are not very good for you. But sugar in dates is different. First of all, dates have a lot of fiber and other antioxidants and nutrients. Compared to cane sugar, which only has simple sugar that spikes up your blood sugar, dates are a whole fruit.
And date syrup is made out of whole fruit, dates, so it still has all the benefits of eating dates too. They taste so amazing as well! The date syrup not only sweetens but also goes so well with the rest of the ingredients here. Yummy!
6. Banana

Very ripe bananas are perfect for lots of dessert recipes!
Last but not least, use banana in this recipe to sweeten and get another serving of fruit in your day. Bananas are naturally sweet and a great source of potassium! British Heart Foundation suggests that just a banana a day would be enough to meet your daily intake.
Use ripe bananas in Ninja Creami Protein Ice Cream recipes for natural sweetness and more nutrition.

Tips for After-Workout Chocolate Ninja Creami Protein Ice Cream
1. Swap Protein Powder with Rolled Oats
For all of you WFPB dieters out there, I have one great tip for you!
It is often difficult to find WFPB desserts, or recipes, for that matter. I totally understand you because I do the same.
In this recipe, you can substitute protein powder with rolled oats to make it WFPB. It has a similar texture and taste while adding more fiber and whole foods! Also, add one teaspoon of vanilla extract if you want the real deal. I do it with a lot of my recipes like my vegan protein waffles.
2. Blend with Milk to Make a Protein Shake
Once you have this protein ice cream ready and want to have a milkshake or protein shake, simply add a cup of milk and 1/3 cup of condensed milk!
Then you have your fresh, homemade, perfect protein shake with you.
